In fact in some states in America the Smartsensor HD is being used to calibrate speed values for inductive loop.This is then used to calculate the vehicle’s speed. In third-party tests, Smartsensor HD’s speed measurements have shown to be consistently within +/- 8 kph of true without manually tuning the sensor.And that’s not just in free-flow traffic conditions, but also during periods of heavy, stop-and-go congestion when accurate speed data is most needed but hardest to detect.
